Orthography has many rules and conventions! ๐ค
These include spelling rules, like "i before e except after c." There
are also rules for punctuation, like using commas to separate items in a list. For example, when we say, "I have apples, bananas, and oranges," the commas help us understand what we're mentioning. Capitalization helps show the beginning of sentences or names, like "Lucy" or "Saturday." Following these rules makes our writing clearer and easier to read! ๐
When kids learn these conventions, they become better writers!
