Roller coasters have a long history that dates back to the 18th century! 🎉
The first coasters were actually made of ice in Russia! They were called "Russian Mountains" and riders zoomed down wooden sleds. In 1884, the first modern coaster opened in Coney Island, New York, called the "Switchback Railway." It was only 600 feet long but had a thrilling speed! The first looping coaster, "The Flip-Flap Coaster," was built in 1895. Over the years, roller coasters have gotten taller, faster, and more exciting. Today’s coasters use advanced technology to give us wild rides! 🌍
