Unlike Titan, Saturn's largest moon, which has a thick atmosphere and lakes of
methane, Prometheus is small and barren. π
While Titan is about 5,150 kilometers (3,200 miles) wide, Prometheus only measures about 86 kilometers (53 miles). Prometheus is more like Mimas, another small moon, but Mimas has a giant crater that gives it a "death star" appearance! Each moon around Saturn is unique, and comparing these moons helps scientists learn more about the geology and environments of different celestial bodies.
