The Paracel Islands, also known as the Xisha Islands or HoΓ ng Sa Archipelago, are a special group of islands in the South China Sea π. They are made up of around 130 small islands and reefs! These tiny pieces of land are surrounded by clear, blue waters. Even though they look beautiful, there is some disagreement about who owns these islands. Currently, the People's Republic of China governs them, but countries like Vietnam and Taiwan also claim them. The islands are home to unique plants and animals! π¦
