Lions 🦁 are known as the "king of the jungle," even though they live mainly in savannas, grasslands, and open woodlands in Africa and India. These big cats are part of the Felidae family, which means they are related to other cats like tigers and cheetahs. Lions are unique because they are the only big cats that live in groups, called prides. A pride usually consists of a few lionesses (female lions), their cubs, and a couple of male lions. Lion populations primarily live in areas like the Serengeti in Tanzania and Kruger National Park in South Africa.
