The Lancashire Heeler has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century! π
These dogs were bred in Lancashire, England, to help farmers with their cattle and catch pesky rodents. They are descendants of two dog breeds: the
Manchester Terrier and the Welsh Corgi. Farmers loved their loyalty and agility. However, over the years, their numbers declined, making them a rare breed. Thankfully, dog lovers have helped bring them back! Today, Lancashire Heelers are cherished family pets and are recognized by the Kennel Club.
