Humphrey grew up in a little town called Wallace, where his family owned a pharmacy. π‘
From a young age, he loved reading and helping others. He went to South Dakota State University, where he studied agriculture before transferring to the
University of Minnesota. There, he became interested in politics! He was influenced by his teachers and friends to join student government, and he even helped organize important discussions about important social issues. π
After graduating with a degree in political science in 1939, he was determined to make a difference in the world.
