Internal conflicts, invasions, and weakened leadership caused instability. The Magyars, fierce warriors from the east, began to invade and establish their own presence in the region. By 907 AD, Great Moravia lost much of its power and eventually fell apart into smaller states. The brave spirit of its people lived on, however, as they found new ways to adapt and thrive.
