Breeding season for Galapagos penguins happens from June to August 🌞. They build their nests in caves, under bushes, and in rocky crevices to protect their eggs. A female usually lays 1 to 2 eggs, and both parents take turns keeping the eggs warm until they hatch after about 40 days! 👶
After hatching, the baby penguins, called chicks, are fed by their parents and stay with them for several weeks until they can swim and find food on their own. The chicks have fluffy grey feathers that make them look extra cute!
