Ethiopian Airlines was established on April 8, 1945, by Emperor
Haile Selassie I. πβοΈ At first, it had only one plane, a Douglas DC-3. In 1965, it became the first African airline to fly jets! Fast forward to 2003, it changed its name from Ethiopian Air Lines to Ethiopian Airlines. Over the years, the airline has added new aircraft and destinations. In 2016, it launched a new route to Houston, Texas! π
