Empedocles was the first to create the Four Elements Theory! π
He believed that everything in the
universe is made from earth, air, fire, and water. He described earth as solid, air as light, fire as hot, and water as wet. To him, these elements were essential to life. Empedocles thought they constantly mixed and separated, which explained how things can change! For example, when wood burns, it turns into ash and smoke, showing how fire and air can change earth (the wood). This idea laid the groundwork for modern science!
