Coelophysis lived in what is now the southwestern United States, particularly in present-day New Mexico and Arizona. 🌵
During the Triassic period, this region was very different—filled with rivers, lakes, and lush floodplains. It was a warm climate, with lots of vegetation, making it easier for Coelophysis to find food. Fossil sites such as Ghost Ranch in New Mexico give us clues about its past habitat. Coelophysis lived in groups, which helped it protect itself from larger predators and work together to hunt! 🐦
