Bob Marley grew up in a small area called Nine Mile 🌳, near the
mountains of Jamaica. His father, Norval Marley, was a British white man, and his mother, Cedella Booker, was a Black Jamaican woman. Bob experienced a lot of challenges as a child, including being bullied for his mixed race. 😔
He found comfort in music and began to play guitar ✌️ and write his own songs.
As a young boy, he listened to jazz and local reggae music, which inspired him. Bob moved to the capital, Kingston, as a teenager to pursue his dreams of becoming a musician!
