Bindusara was an important king of the Maurya Empire in ancient India π. He ruled from around 297 BCE to 272 BCE. Bindusara was the son of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Maurya dynasty. Bindusara is sometimes called "Amitraghata," which means "slayer of enemies" π‘οΈ. His kingdom was vast, covering most of northern India. The capital city was Pataliputra, now known as Patna, located along the Ganges River. Bindusara is well-known for continuing his father's work and setting the stage for his famous son, Ashoka, who would become an extraordinary ruler later on! π
