Annapurna is located in the Himalayas, in central Nepal. π
It sits in the Annapurna Conservation Area, the first of its kind in Nepal, and is surrounded by lush forests and deep valleys. The closest city is Pokhara, which is about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Annapurna's base. The mountain range also includes Annapurna II, III, and IV, as well as the fascinating Machapuchare Peak. The region experiences two main seasons: dry (October to April) and wet (June to September), making spring and autumn the best times to visit!
