The ANC was officially founded on January 8, 1912, in Bloemfontein. The first president was John Langalibalele Dube. The ANC started as the African Political Organization (APO) and later evolved into the ANC. Early on, the ANC organized meetings, protests, and discussions to gather people who wanted change 🌍. They also sent letters to the government about the unfair laws. Although they had some successes, it took a long time for their message to reach many people. But little by little, the ANC grew and gained voices from all over South Africa!
