To create an account for students the following steps can be done in either order. On the teacher side, they need to add a student to their school and in doing so can create an account for the student. Once the account is created here they can start adding the students to their classrooms. The student also needs to sign in to finalise the creation of their account. If the student signs in before being added to a school they will be not be given access until they are added to a school to keep them safe!
In the teacher portal, navigate to the School tab on the ASTROSafe teacher portal, and click the ‘Add Student’ button. Enter their name, email and year group and their account will be created. This will automatically generate a login pin for the student which you can print out for them.
Make sure ASTROSafe is installed on the device that the student will be using. Follow this guide to learn how to install ASTROSafe on iPad and this guide to learn how to install the ASTROSafe Google Chrome extension.
Once it is installed, open the iOS app if you are ono iPad or navigate to kids.astrosafe.co if you are on a laptop on Google Chrome and click the Sign in with Google button. Login using the same email that was input on the teachers side and the student will be in their account ready to use ASTROSafe!
Now they can explore their classes and lessons.

You would never throw your kid into the deep-end of a pool before he can swim, so we wouldn’t suggest doing the same with unfiltered, open-ended surfing online. URSOR starts kids slowly by introducing them to the basics of searching, choosing, and navigating sources. We remove the distractions of ads and excessive paid-for links so kids can learn first to view, digest, and retain information in a healthy age-appropriate manner.
